Michael Kolb

Hi there, I’m Michael Kolb,
Founding Member, CFP®

Michael Kolb is the portfolio manager on the Evergreen team. A husband and father of two children, he grew up in the Williamsport area and returned after attending Houghton College. He graduated with honors with a BS in business administration focusing on international business and finance and spent extensive time living and studying throughout Europe.

Michael started in the financial services industry in 2006 and started working with Andy Harris at the Comprehensive Financial Group in 2010. He continued his academic studies by completing his CFP® in 2012 and was a founding member of Evergreen in 2015.

Extensive Background

Outside of work, Michael enjoys time with his family and friends, volunteering, and many hobbies, including good food, hiking, running, ultimate frisbee, reading, traveling, and gardening.

Michael focuses on the financial planning and asset management aspects of the business. As the primary portfolio manager and investment committee member, he provides research and investment knowledge to our clients through the portfolio construction process and then delivers that through the execution and maintenance of clients’ portfolios. As a CFP® professional, he constructs and analyzes the financial plans, selecting the optimal solutions with each client as well as maintaining the plans for our clients.

His intimate knowledge of a client’s financial plan allows him to optimize the asset management experience for each client. He provides an additional layer of customer service to our clients, focusing not only on financial planning and asset management, but also on retirement income planning, budgeting, asset allocation, and general product knowledge.
